Mainland France

This page lists the latest seismic events occurring in or near mainland France. The monitoring stations of the national research infrastructure Epos-France and the stations of the networks of the bordering countries (Germany, United Kingdom, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Switzerland) record continuously the tremors and transmit the measurements in real time to the BCSF-Rénass.

All events are first detected and located automatically before being analyzed by an operator who determines, in particular, their seismic or anthropic origin (e.g. quarry blasts or explosions).

The seismicity catalog data is freely available under a CC BY 4.0 license.
