Reunion Island

This page lists the last earthquakes that occurred in Reunion Island or nearby (regional seismicity), as well as those associated with the activity of the volcano of Piton de la Fournaise. The monitoring stations of the volcanological observatory of Piton de la Fournaise (IPGP, Epos-France) continuously record the tremors and transmit the measurements in real time to the OVPF.

All events are first detected automatically or manually before being analyzed by an operator who determines, in particular, their seismic or anthropic origin. This page only shows events confirmed as natural earthquakes and located manually.
